Comval’s Department of Education (DepEd-Comval) was recently commended following the success to its Human Resource Implementation System (HRIS) under the Basic Education Assistance for Mindanao (BEAM) project. For its excellent performance, DepEd Comval will be the BEAM pilot project in the entire country.
With the recent developments, Dep Ed Officials from the different regions are set to visit Comval to get a first-hand experience on the successful implementation in the province. The series of visits from the different regions kicked off with the first visit from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) at the provincial capitol.
“When you take care of the plants the plants will bloom. That’s’ why I take care of our personnel like plants for them to bloom as they give the best services to the people,” said DepEd Division Superintendent Lillian O. Calicdan when asked about her inspiration for achieving the commendation.
Comval Gov. Arturo T. Uy who accompanied Calicdan warmly welcomed the group led by Redentor Rola, IT Manager of BEAM, and Dep Ed ARMM Officials from Tawi-tawi, Jolo, Sulu, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur1, Lanao del Sur 2, Basilan, Lamitan, and Marawi City. Rosemarie Green from Australia, 6 BEAM Officials, and 6 Planning Officers of ARMM were also present during the courtesy call at the capitol.
According to Rola, aside from ARMM, officials from the National Capital Region (NCR), Region 3, Region 4-A, Region 4-B, and the Dep Ed Central Office are expected to have their visits in the coming weeks. He added that the groups will mainly compose of Schools Division Superintendent,Human Resource Management Officers, and Administrative Officers in various divisions.
The HRIS is a component of BEAM initiated by the Department of Education (DepEd) which aims to improve the quality and the access to basic education especially in Southern and Central Mindanao. BEAM is both funded by the national government and the Australian government through theAustralian Agency for International Development
